Buyers top up a coin wallet from their customer account, then spend coins to tip sellers, unlock exclusive content, or send priority messages. 1 coin is always worth 10p. Coins cannot be transferred between buyers, cashed out, or used outside Sole Obsession UK.

The base rate is 10p per coin. Volume bundles discount that rate: 50 coins for £5.00 (10p each), 150 coins for £13.50 (9p each), 350 coins for £28.00 (8p each), or 750 coins for £52.50 (7p each — our best value). All bundles charge to your UK debit or credit card via Stripe.

100% of every tip goes directly to the seller. Sole Obsession takes no cut on tips. On content unlocks and priority messages the seller keeps 70% and the platform keeps 30% — that 30% covers Stripe fees, moderation, ID verification and support.

No. Your card statement shows the descriptor "Sole Obsession Credits". No reference to adult content, individual sellers, or specific sock listings. Discreet by design, same standard you'd expect from any UK-registered retailer.

Obsession Coins are non-refundable once purchased, under UK digital-goods consumer rights (you consent to this when buying). Unused coins stay in your wallet indefinitely while your account is active, and you can spend them on any verified UK seller at any time. Refunds are considered only in cases of duplicate or fraudulent charges — contact support.

No — coins are opt-in for sellers. A seller only displays a Tip button, offers exclusive content, or accepts priority messages if they have explicitly enabled Obsession Coins from their dashboard and agreed to the 70/30 revenue split. Sellers who haven't opted in remain standard marketplace sellers — you can still buy their listed sock orders with a regular card payment.

Open a seller's profile and tap Message. In the message composer, tick the Priority box — 15 coins (£1.50) will be deducted when you send. Your message pins to the top of that seller's inbox for 48 hours, dramatically improving response time. Priority messages are best for custom worn sock requests or when you need a same-day reply.

Sellers can list private photo sets or galleries behind a coin unlock — think gym sock close-ups, post-workout shots, multi-day wear galleries, or anything they want to monetise beyond their public listings. Each item has a coin price (typically 20–100 coins). You see a blurred preview, unlock once, and the full image is yours to view as long as the seller keeps the content active on their profile.

Sellers request a payout from their dashboard once they've earned at least 200 coins (£20). Sole Obsession instantly transfers the equivalent GBP to their Stripe Connect account. Stripe then settles to the seller's UK bank on their usual payout schedule (daily or weekly depending on their Stripe setup). Payouts take ~1 business day from transfer to bank visibility.

Neither. Obsession Coins are prepaid single-platform credits (similar to gift card balance or an in-app token). They are not e-money under FCA rules, not a cryptocurrency, not transferable between users, and have no cash value outside of Sole Obsession UK. Under the Electronic Money Regulations 2011, single-platform prepaid credits of this type are explicitly excluded from e-money authorisation (Limited Network Exclusion).

No. Sellers only see your username (chosen at signup) and any optional message you attach to a tip. Your email, postal address, payment details, and real name are never visible to them. When you place a physical worn sock order, your delivery address goes through Sole Obsession's shipping label system — the seller only sees a seller-side label, not your raw address.

Yes. Obsession Coins are prepaid credits for a UK-registered platform (Sole Obsession Ecommerce Ltd, Company No. 17019850), processed through Stripe as standard card payments. No — coins never expire for active accounts. If your account is dormant for 12 months, we reserve the right to mark long-unused balances as expired, but we'll notify you by email before we ever do. In practice this is almost never enforced.
